Privacy Policy

OdoNest (“OdoNest”, “we”) is a car maintenance app for iOS and Android. This policy explains what the app collects, why, where it is stored, and how you can delete it. The short version: the app works without an account, contains no ads, never tracks you across other companies’ apps or websites, and we never sell your data.

1. Using OdoNest without an account

An account is optional. If you never sign in, everything you enter — vehicles, odometer readings, service history, costs, notes, reminder settings and any photos you attach — is stored only on your device. It is not sent to us.

2. If you create an account

You can sign in with Apple or Google to back up your garage and sync it across your devices. We then store:

• Account details: your email address, the name your sign-in provider shares (if any), and an account ID. With Sign in with Apple you may choose to hide your email; we then receive a private relay address.
• Your garage: vehicle nickname, year, make, model, odometer readings and any vehicle photos you add.
• Your service records: service type, date, mileage, cost, notes and receipt photos you attach.
• Reminder settings for each vehicle.
• Pro status — whether your account has the Pro upgrade.
• Push token for each signed-in device where notifications are allowed.

This data is used only to provide the app: syncing, restoring your garage on a new phone and unlocking Pro. Receipt and vehicle photos are stored privately and are visible only to your account.

3. Photos

OdoNest only accesses photos you explicitly choose in the photo picker (for a vehicle photo or a receipt). It does not scan or upload the rest of your library. If you submit a custom logo for a car make that is missing from the catalog, that logo image may be reviewed and made available to other OdoNest users as part of the shared catalog.

4. Purchases

OdoNest Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see your payment card details. We use RevenueCat to verify purchases and to restore them; RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID (or your OdoNest account ID if you are signed in) together with your purchase history.

5. Notifications

Service reminders are scheduled locally on your device and work without an account. If you are signed in and allow notifications, we also store a push token for your device so we can send you account-related notifications. Push delivery is handled by Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (and Apple Push Notification service on iPhone). The token is deleted when you sign out or delete your account, and you can turn notifications off at any time in your phone’s settings.

6. Usage analytics and crash reports

To find bugs and understand which features are used, the app sends Google Firebase Analytics (events such as screens viewed, app version, device model, operating system and approximate country) and Crashlytics reports (crash logs and the device state at the time of a crash). This data is not linked to your account, and the app does not collect your device’s advertising identifier. You can turn it off at any time in Settings → Share usage & crash reports.

7. What we don’t do

• No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
• No tracking across other companies’ apps or websites, and no data brokers.
• No selling or renting of personal data.

8. Service providers and storage location

We rely on a small number of processors, each only for the purpose listed:

• Supabase — database, file storage and sign-in for accounts. Account data is hosted in South Korea (Seoul region).
• RevenueCat — purchase verification and restoration.
• Google Firebase — Cloud Messaging (push notifications), Analytics and Crashlytics (usage and crash reports).
• Apple and Google — sign-in, app distribution and payment processing, under their own privacy policies.

9. Keeping and deleting your data

We keep account data until you delete it. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings → Account → Delete account. This permanently removes your account, synced vehicles, service history, reminder settings and uploaded photos from our servers, and clears the app on that device. Data kept only on a device is removed by deleting it in the app or uninstalling OdoNest.

You can also export your service history as a PDF (Pro) at any time.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. Most of this can be done directly in the app; for anything else, contact us at the address below. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

11. Children

OdoNest is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

12. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and for significant changes we will tell you in the app.
